3X3 is a German brand for high-performance, low-maintenance gear hubs for bicycles and e-bikes. Our shifting systems are made for everyone who would rather ride than worry about their drivetrain – whether in the city, on long tours or with a serious load on board.
Our gear hubs are developed and manufactured by H+B Hightech GmbH in Adelmannsfelden, Germany. This is where precision and manufacturing expertise meet a serious passion for cycling. Less time thinking about shifting. More headspace for the ride. Shift your Ride.
High-tech from Southern Germany. No big fuss.
A gear system should work exactly when you need it. On a climb. At the traffic lights. With luggage on board. Or simply on your daily commute.
That is why the technology inside our gear hubs is safely enclosed within the rear hub. It keeps dirt and external influences out – and maintenance to a minimum. Shifting is fast and precise, even at a standstill and, depending on the shifting system, under load.
Development, assembly and final testing all take place at our site in Adelmannsfelden. Every gear hub is tested before delivery. Because “it’ll probably be fine” is not really our thing.

3X3 SIX
Six gears. Nothing more. Nothing less.
The 3X3 SIX is our gear hub for city riding, commuting and moderate tours. With six evenly spaced gears and a 292% gear range, it brings exactly what everyday riding needs.
Add shifting at a standstill, a silent freewheel and minimal maintenance, and you have everything you need. No frills. Not one gear too many.

3X3 NINE
Built for the limits.
Steep climbs, heavy loads or long tours? That is exactly what the 3X3 NINE is made for. With nine evenly spaced gears, a 554% gear range and up to 250 Nm input torque, it is built for high loads and demanding applications.
It is especially suited to powerful e-bikes, cargo bikes and bikes where “a little uphill” often turns out to be quite a lot.

3X3 gear hubs are used in a wide range of bicycles – from urban e-bikes, compact bikes and folding bikes to touring and cargo bikes.
Depending on the model and configuration, they can be combined with chain or belt drives as well as mechanical or electronic shifting systems. Which option is right for your bike depends on how you intend to use it, its drive system and the technical specifications of the frame.
Sounds technical? It is. But finding the right setup does not have to be complicated.
Service without reinventing the wheel
Our gear hubs have a modular design. The entire gear unit can be removed from the hub shell. In many service cases, this means there is no need to send in the complete wheel or rebuild it with new spokes.
That saves time, effort and unnecessary detours. And if support is ever needed, our network of trained service partners is ready to help.
We do not leave specialist dealers alone with the technology either. Our free online training sessions cover everything they need to know about our products, handling, the Service Tool and service cases – in German and English.

3X3 is a brand of H+B Hightech GmbH in Adelmannsfelden. The company is part of the Heine + Beisswenger Group and brings extensive experience in the development and industrial production of sophisticated components.
