More power.
Less maintenance.

E-bike motors are becoming more powerful, bikes more versatile and the demands placed on the entire drivetrain are increasing. At the same time, many riders want one thing above all: an e-bike that works reliably every day and requires as little maintenance as possible.

But how can greater performance and low maintenance be combined?

More power means greater strain

Modern e-bikes carry heavier loads, tackle steeper climbs and are increasingly used as an alternative to the car. More powerful motors open up new possibilities – but they also place greater demands on the gearing and drivetrain.

The motor’s power must be transferred reliably to the rear wheel through the chain or belt and the gearing system. The higher the loads, the more important robust components designed to handle these forces become.

Low maintenance is about more than convenience

Anyone who rides their e-bike every day wants to spend their time riding – not constantly cleaning and adjusting the drivetrain or replacing worn components. A low-maintenance system therefore saves time, can reduce running costs and improves everyday reliability.

This is where gearbox hubs offer significant advantages: Their sensitive components are protected inside the hub, making them far less exposed to dirt, dust and moisture than an external derailleur system.

Combined with a belt drive, they create a particularly uncomplicated drivetrain. A belt requires no lubrication, stays clean and is designed for a long service life.

Ready for powerful e-bike systems

As motors become more powerful, it is increasingly important to look beyond their performance figures. The gearing system must also suit the complete setup, the intended use and the loads involved.

That is why 3X3 gearbox hubs are engineered with high load reserves. The 3X3 SIX is approved for a maximum input torque of 160 Nm and is particularly well suited to urban riding, daily commutes and moderate tours. The 3X3 NINE can handle input torques of up to 250 Nm, providing additional reserves for powerful drive systems, high loads and demanding routes.

Both gearbox hubs are therefore designed not only for today’s e-bikes but also to offer scope for the continued development of more powerful drive systems.

Less maintenance. More riding.

A modern e-bike drivetrain must transfer power reliably, be easy to use and demand as little attention as possible in everyday life. This is where robust gearbox hubs play to their strengths: They are well protected, require little maintenance and allow riders to shift gears even while stationary.

Because while e-bikes are becoming more powerful, riding them should not become more complicated.
